Christian van Appelghem

Since 2009, Christian has been President and Founding Partner of Atlante Gestion. He assumes the roles of manager of the management company with respect to the AMF and Head of Compliance and Internal Control. He is also responsible for overseeing the commercial strategy, fundraising, investors relations, monitoring project risks and performance.

Previously, he worked for 5 years at Babcock & Brown with the mission to launch the infrastructure activity for France within the broader Infra Europe team. Christian holds more than 20 years’ experience in project finance covering the sectors of infrastructure and energy. He has held positions of Head of Structured Finance at WestLB for France, and in corporate finance at Dresner Bank and Deutsche Bank. Christian began his career at Bankhaus Merck Finck & Co as financial analyst in Germany for two years.

He graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and holds a Master in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.

Pascal Marty

Pascal has been since 2009 CEO and founding partner of Atlante Gestion. Within the company, Pascal has been responsible for managing the France Infrastructures 1 Fund which is invested in 21 Public Private Partnership assets. He is also an expert in asset finance with a focus on transportation assets and led the acquisition of the assets from the Luxembourg investment company South Europe Infrastructure Equity Finance (SEIEF).

Pascal holds 25 years’ experience in infrastructure, structured finance and asset management. He previously led Babcock & Brown’s operations in France, overseeing commercial activities across five sectors: aircraft and rail asset leasing, real estate, infrastructure, structured finance solutions and asset management. Pascal Marty joined Babcock & Brown in 1999 and served on the Board of Directors of Babcock & Brown European Investment. He previously held positions in the finance department of RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens).

Pascal graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Tours in International Finance and holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco.

Aule is an independent fund expert at Atlante Gestion having more than 40 years’ experience in capital markets and risk management at GenRe and UBS. He also has a 8 years’ experience in managing an Infrastructure fund.

Aule holds a degree in Commercial Sciences from the University of Geneva.

Cyrille Paul-Cavallier

Cyrille joined Atlante Gestion in 2010. As Senior Investment Director, Cyrille supervises the infrastructure activity commercial development and manages the Atlante Infrastructures Fund. He is currently contributing to the launch of new investment strategies. With more than 17 years in terms of professional experience related to project finance, Cyrille has analyzed and executed numerous transactions in France, the Benelux, Spain and the UK, focusing on the sectors of social infrastructures, renewable energy and telecoms.

Before joining the company, Cyrille held various positions in project finance and investment at HSBC and Macquarie Capital in the UK and for a French developer of Renewable energy projects. Prior to his various professional experiences in project finance, Cyrille worked in project management of large infrastructures projects for major industrial players.

Cyrille holds an MBA from the London Business School, a MSc in Water Resources Engineering and Management from the University of Glasgow and a Masters’s degree in Civil Engineering from l’Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics in Paris (ESTP). He also got the certification from the AMF.

Investment Director - Infrastructure & Maritime

Christophe Lefebvre

Christophe holds more than 15 years’ experience in financial engineering advisory and mergers and acquisitions. He joined Atlante Gestion as an investment director in order to specifically cover the maritime sector, as well as to provide expertise on regional infrastructure projects. Previously, he was acting as director in the Infrastructure & Maritime team of financière de Courcelles (M&A boutique) where he was involved in transactions in the fields of transport and energy, with a specific angle on the maritime sector. He has also developed skills in structuring and raising complex financings. Before that, he was a manager in the Project Finance & Infrastructure team of Ernst & Young after having started his career in the large caps M&A team of Crédit Agricole CIB.

He graduated from ESSEC Business School and Banking and from the master’s degree program in Finance of University of Paris II Assas. He also got the certification from the AMF.

Investment Director Energy Transition

Edouard Ficat

Edouard joined Atlante Gestion in 2021 as an investment director specializing in the energy transition. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in banking and consulting. Edouard spent 14 years at CACIB focusing on financial engineering (including subsidized financing, balance sheet optimization, and equity portage) and structured financing in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has provided advisory services for fundraising on major energy and infrastructure projects in Europe, the USA, Asia, and the Middle East, involving various sources of liquidity (banks, bond markets, export credit agencies, and investment funds).

Edouard graduated from EDHEC with a Master in Finance and also holds the certification from the AMF.

Analyst

Thomas Absire

Thomas joined Atlante Gestion in 2022 as a financial analyst. He is more specifically in charge of the financial and the counterparty risks analyses on the transactions. Thomas is specializing in project finance and private equity. Before joining Atlante, Thomas previously worked at OFI AM, in project management and project finance within the Business France Team.

Thomas graduated from the Paris Dauphine-PSL University (Master in Corporate Finance – Master 270) and holds a certification from the AMF.

Senior analyst

Benoît-Marie Koch

Benoît is a senior financial modelling analyst. Before joining Atlante Gestion in 2022, he worked for 4 years at Total Energies Renouvelables as an investment analyst. He was involved in the structuring and financing of several PV and wind farms in France and in the first Corporate PPA’s signed by the company.

Benoît graduated from the Ecole National Supérieure de Chimie ParisTech. He holds a specialization in Energy and Markets engineering from IFP School and got the certification from the AMF.

Administrative and Finance Director

Lan Duong

Lan joined Atlante Gestion in 2022 as chief administrative, financial, and HR officer. Prior to this position, Lan worked for 12 years in two asset management companies involving various cross-functional roles: financial management, middle office management and compliance and internal control officer for real estate funds with assets under management of more than €2 billion. Lan also holds more than 7 years’ experience with Mazars, an accounting firm.

Lan holds a Chartered Accountant diploma (DEC) and also got the AMF certification.

Middle Office Manager Legal & Compliance

Carole Nehou

Since 2020, Carole has been acting as the Legal & Compliance Middle Office Manager at Atlante Gestion. Carole has 15 years’ experience in business law and compliance gained from various French and international law firms, as well as from investment companies. Within the company, Carole oversees the legal aspects of the investment procedures, develops and updates the management company’s procedures, prepares the legal documents pertaining to the funds and the other entities. She also drafts the contracts for the various structures and participates in the structuring and monitoring of the funds managed by Atlante Gestion.

Carole holds an LL.M, a DJCE degree and is also a qualified lawyer (CAPA). She also got the AMF certification.

Accounting and Finance Manager

Roland Ndoko

Roland has acted as Accounting and Finance Manager at APM since 2023. After more than 15 years’ experience within accounting firms, he now oversees the accounting for Atlante Gestion and APM as well as the accounting and tax aspects for all subsidiaries.

Roland graduated from INTEC-CNAM Paris with a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Sciences and Techniques. He also holds a Certificate of Specialization in Audit and Account Control.

Manager of the Asset Management

Arnaud Fourchy

Since 2016, Arnaud has been the Head of the Management Department at Atlante Gestion. Previously, he worked at the Electa Group, managing a portfolio of companies affiliated with investment funds. He also gained experience as a financial analyst at Crédit Agricole – CIB. Within Atlante Gestion, Arnaud is responsible for contract management, invoice collection, and monitoring investment lines. 

Arnaud graduated from ISG Paris with Master’s Degree in Finance. 

SPV General Accountant

Jean-Christophe Lodo

Jean-Christophe joined APM in 2019 and has over 15 years’ experience in accounting. He has worked as an accountant in several companies including Orpea, Didaxis, and CGE Distribution. Within APM, Jean-Christophe is responsible for the monitoring of the operations, the accounting and taxation of the different subsidiaries.

Jean-Christophe holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance.

Administrative and Financial Manager SPV

Maxime Belaman

Maxime has been Administrative and Financial Manager at APM since 2023. With 6 years’ experience in an accounting firm, he has developed skills in managing client portfolios on accounting and tax matters and for the establishment of financial reporting. Within the company, Maxime is responsible for the monitoring of operations, budgets, administrative and financial management and company contracts.

He holds a Diploma in Accounting and Management.

Sociale Infrastructure

Sarthe region

Lead investor in the construction and rehabilitation of four middle schools in the Sarthe region, located in Arnage, Coulaines, Le Mans and Noyen-sur-Sarthe to receive 2,300 students.

The project is in the operation phase since 2019.

LABEL - CERTIFICATION​

The project was subject to carbon assessment. Seeing the results, in end-January 2018, CERTIVA awarded MAINE COLLEGES 72 permanent HQE (high environmental quality) certifications for the “Programme Design” phase for each of the schools. The permanent HQE certification for the “Development” phase was awarded in November 2019 for all the schools.

As of November 2019, MAINE COLLEGES has also been awarded the Effinergie + label. This label testifies to the improvement in the buildings’ energy efficiency in relation to the 2012 Réglementation Thermique (the 2012 Heat Regulation).

Water management

Wastewater is let into the wastewater sewerage systems of the towns concerned.

A rainwater harvesting system is planned for sanitary use, so as to cover 10% of the water requirements for toilet bowls and urinals in the toilet facilities.

Waste management

Implementation of waste segregation.

All materials used in the construction have zero or very low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) levels.

Energy efficiency

The schools were equipped with low temperature radiators that require 30% less energy to provide the same thermal comfort given their much larger contact surface with the ambient air.

Ceiling radiant panels that allow a more accurate monitoring of power consumption, have been installed in the canteens.

PV solar panels will be installed horizontally on the roof, covering a total area of 57.12 m2.

The kitchen appliances run on electricity and are equipped with an energy optimiser.

SOCIAL​ IMPACT

The project complies with contractual commitments in terms of first-time employment, namely 20,000 work hours, and in employing SMBs for which the recruiting rate is 40%.

Asbestos removal and demolition works are carried out during school vacations and the floors are hosed in case of heavy dust.

Instead of a rock-breaker, the alligator crusher is used with rubber mallets to avoid the noise of metal against metal
